Praised by Country, Folk, and Americana fans alike for his songwriting, David’s powerful, clear voice, broad palette of guitar techniques, and easy comfort onstage come together in compelling and often humorous songs about fistfights, tender loves, drunken dates, and naked heartache.
Fast becoming a favorite in high profile venues, David has appeared in support of headliners such as Poco, Michelle Shocked, Leon Russell, Radney Foster, and the Proclaimers. David was selected from among 75 competing artists as the winner of the 2010 Acoustic Slam Competition sponsored by the NightCat in Easton, MD. For the March 2009 flight of the Space Shuttle Discovery, David’s song, “In A Little While” was chosen as the wake up call for the crew while docked with the International Space Station, an honor he shares with artists such as Paul McCartney, Elton John and Willie Nelson. In 2008, David appeared on the premier episode of Nashville Star on NBC as one of the ten worldwide Navy finalists for the military casting call filmed aboard the Iwo Jima. |

Here is a video shot by good friend (Disco) Don Harrison when Pilgrim and Trout opened for Poco at the Rams Head Onstage. The first song, Caribbean Nights, was written by longtime friend and collaborator Greg Whipp (bass) and the second Baby Let's Get Stinking Sober by David (acoustic guitar). Bruce Carter is on congas and Joe Walsh on electric guitar. |
